Leopards prepare for Bears

Posted Tuesday, September 02, 2008 by Leo Pard
The 2008 season will start with a county rivalry. The Central Bears come to the Leopard's Den with a county championship to defend. In past seasons Central has been climbing strong while the leopards have been falling. With new a coach and a new system, the squad is ready to come out scoring. Coach Lowery is 1-1 against Hernando. His first year he suffered an humiliating defeat @ Hernando. The second year he escaped with a last minute score. This year the talent pool is not as good as the previous two years. Hernando is a young team that played a South Sumter team pretty strong. Led on offense by So. Alvin Delainie and Kall Daniels will spark some fire in the offense. The addition of Clay Kessler will add power and strength to the running game. On defense, the leopards will have to replace a talented LB unit that gave offenses fits. This young unit will be up to the challenge. Led by Coach Bingham this defense will become one of the key weapons in the leopards quest for dominance in the county and the district.
